PURPOSE
We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Entry-Level Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician to support our cutting-edge cryogenic technology projects. This position offers an incredible opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment with significant growth potential as we revolutionize the quantum computing landscape.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assemble and integrate cryogenic electro-mechanical components according to precise specifications and engineering drawings.
- Conduct routine testing and troubleshooting of assembled units to ensure compliance with quality and performance standards.
- Works under direct supervision using visual aids, hand tools, wiring lists, BOMs, drawings, and/or verbal or written instructions to assemble, modify, or rework units
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians to address assembly challenges and improve processes.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while adhering to all safety protocols.
- Document assembly procedures and report any issues or improvements during the assembly process.
- Engage in training programs to enhance your understanding of electro-mechanical systems and cryogenic technologies.
- Potential to go to customer sites for service and installation of systems.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in electronics or mechanical fields is a plus.
- Good knowledge of common MS Office applications.
- Genuine interest in electro-mechanical systems, cryogenics, and quantum technology.
- General ability and knowledge of hand and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Eagerness to learn and grow within a cutting-edge technological environment.
The pay range for this role in Boulder, CO is between $16.45 and $21.58. The pay range may differ in other locations. FormFactor maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in education, training, skills, relevant work experience, business needs and market demands. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
